Scope & Content: Item consists of crowds of people gathered for the raising of the B.C. Centennial flag at the Prince Rupert Courthouse on Market Place. The Courthouse and flag are not pictured. The crowd includes many soldiers. A view of McBride Street and 1st Avenue West including the Prince Rupert Civic Centre, a swimming pool and the Navy drill hall can be seen in the background. Handwritten annotation on verso of copies 2 and 3 reads: "Photo by Jack Wrathall Prince Rupert, B. C. Apr 27. 1958 Raising Centenial [sic] Flag." Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 4 reads: "Civic Centre. Bldg. Swimming Pool. Navy Drill Hall. At Raising Centenial [sic] Flag. 1958. 1st. Ave. & McBride. St."
