Scope & Content: Item is a photograph depicting Dr. Herbert (Herb) Frederick Kergin, b. July 5, 1985 and died August 28, 1954, and his wife Achsah Francis (nee McCroskie), b. abt. 1888 and died August 3, 1968, and two children, one an infant on Achsah's lap. Herbert and Achsah were married in Prince Rupert, B.C. on October 25, 1910 at the Anglican Church with a reception following at the home of Captain and Mrs. McCroskie on Fourth Avenue. Achsah had been a nurse at Port Simpson Hospital. After the wedding the couple left for Stewart where Herbert was in the transportation business. Herbert represented Atlin from 1920 to 1933 for the Provincial Liberals, in the 1928 election he is listed as a Master Mariner, his brothers were doctors that worked on the North Coast.
