Scope & Content: Series consists of an album containing 196 photographs depicting men, women, children, and scenes along a trip up the Northwest Coast ca. 1911. Included are the steamships City of Seattle aground at Ketchikan in 1912, the S.S. Prince John, S.S. Prince Albert, Princess Sophia, S.S. Prince Rupert and the sternwheeler Operator and the Colman Dock wrecked by the S.S. Alameda in Seattle on April 25, 1912. There are also Indian Graves at Hazelton, construction of railway and a tunnel, the Canadian Fish and Cold Storage Plant in Prince Rupert. Photographs of the Queen Charlotte Islands include people aboard a steamship, the Edenshaw Bear pole in Masset, people standing near the large carved tree stump, Good Ge Heat God, at Jedway and a view of Skidegate Landing from the water. Identified Alaska photographs include a totem pole outside of W.C. Waters Curio Shop in Wrangell, Alaska, the International Boundary with its American and Canadian Flags and monument, glaciers and railways.
