Scope & Content: Item consists of a view of the first buildings and wharf at the Prince Rupert waterfront. The view includes the Canadian Bank of Commerce, transit quarters, a building housing offices and kitchens, W. Bacon's house, doctors' tent houses, axemen's tent houses, a tent house housing a barber shop, a tent house housing the post office, a tent house housing the customs house, a bunk house, a GTP storehouse, a foreman's tent house and a tent house housing a carpenter's shop. Handwritten annotation on recto of copies 1, 2 and 4 reads: "1. Can. Bank of Commerce, 2. Transit Quarters, 3. Offices & Kitchens, 4. W. Bacon's House, 5. Doctors Tent House, 6. Axemen's Quarters, 7. Barber, 8. Post Office, 9. Custom House, 10. Indian Bunk House, 11. Grand Trunk Pacific Store House, 12. Foreman's Tent, 13. Carpenter's Shop. Jan. 1907."
