Scope & Content: Item consists of four men standing around the wreck of the biplane Polar Bear after it crashed at Hazelton during its Mexico to Siberia Round the World Flight. The Polar Bear was piloted by Clarence O. Prest and serviced by L. M. Bach. Both Prest and Bach survived the crash. Handwritten annotation on recto of copies 1, 2 and 3 reads: "Photo W.W.W. P.R." Stamped annotation on verso of copy 1 reads: "Wrathall's Photo Finishing Cameras and Supplies Prince Rupert, B. C." Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 2 reads: "Sept. 28, 1921." Stamped annotation on verso of copy 2 reads: "Photo by Jack Wrathall Prince Rupert, B. C."
