The Federal Building housed the post office. The Elizabeth Apartments can be seen in the background. Handwritten annotation on recto of copies 1, 2 and 3 reads: "Post Office Prince Rupert BC. Photo by Wrathall." Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 2 reads: "1947." Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 3 reads: "400 Blk. 3rd. Ave. 1946." Stamped annotation on verso of copies 2 and 3 reads: "Photo by Jack Wrathall Prince Rupert, B. C."
