Scope & Content: Item consists of the 400 block of 2nd Avenue West showing the foundation for the new Federal building. Johnny McLeod's North Star Bottling Co. and the old Federal building can be seen in the background. The federal building would also house the post office. Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 2 reads: “Excafating [sic] for new Post office. 1962.” Handwritten annotation on recto of copy 3 reads: “400 - Blk. 2nd. Ave. W., Johnny McLeod’s North Star Bottling Ltd. Foundation for for [sic] New Federal Bldg. Pr. Rupert. 1962.” Stamped annotation on verso of copy 2 and 3 reads: “Photo by Jack Wrathall Prince Rupert, B. C.”
