History/Biography: Prince Rupert Secondary School was built in 1959 and opened for classes on January 2, 1960 with Leonard G. Truscott as principal. Truscott served as principal until the 1965-1966 school year. PRSS closed its doors as a high school in June 2011, and the building became home to Prince Rupert Middle School.

Scope & Content: The fonds consists of records and photographs from Prince Rupert Secondary School (PRSS). It includes high school accrediting reports and supporting materials for 1960 and 1963, and photographs of boys and girls basketball teams with cheerleaders from 1964. It also consists of commencement ceremony programs (1997-2011), and commencement addresses from Dr. Angela Plessis (nee Gottschling), Betty Ciccone (nee Bussanich) and Liam Sullivan (2009).
