Scope & Content: The postcards depict Prince Rupert's early days, predominantly with photographs taken by J. Dennis Allen, and some scenes from other communities, including one of a Thornhill pioneer at Little Canyon Skeena River, and one of people in Metlakatla. The Prince Rupert scenes include Rupert Road, Centre Street, the waterfront with boats for hire, the school house and part of Knoxville, Vickersville and a group of "sourdoughs" and the first cattle in the townsite.
